We are proud to celebrate an important milestone for our sister company, Royal New York. For 30 years, they have been a trusted partner in specialty coffee and tea, known for their dedication to quality, service, and education.
Coffee, Tea, and The Lab
Royal New York operates across three distinct branches that together serve roasters, tea retailers, and students of the craft:
- Coffee
Their green coffee division offers a wide range of origins, certifications, and micro-lots, ensuring roasters have access to consistent, high-quality options. - Tea
RNY also specializes in tea importing and blending, supporting both wholesale buyers and café programs with curated selections. - The Lab
The RNY Lab provides education and training for professionals at all levels. Classes cover green coffee grading, roasting, brewing, and sensory skills, as well as tea workshops.
An Independent Importer
In a market where many importers are owned by large multinational corporations, Royal New York remains independently run. Their independence allows them to focus on strong relationships at origin and with roasters, while staying responsive to the needs of the specialty community.
Warehouses and Logistics
Royal New York’s warehouse network is designed to give roasters faster and more affordable access to coffee. They warehouse coffees in:
- South Plainfield, New Jersey
- Jacksonville, Florida
- Sturtevant, Wisconsin (our shared Midwest warehouse)
This reach allows them to cover the East Coast efficiently, while also coordinating with us in the Midwest.
How We Work Together
As sister companies, Royal Coffee and Royal New York share many of the same coffees, ensuring consistent offerings for roasters nationwide. We also share the Midwest warehouse, and booths at trade shows, as well as projects from origin.
Ordering Guidance
For roasters located east of the Mississippi River, we recommend ordering full-bag green coffee through Royal New York. Their warehouse network helps reduce transit time and shipping costs.
