Coffee Background

This lot is packed with a vibrant regional profile with traceability to two farms in Planes de Santa María, near Marcala. Cerro Bueno is a 300-acre farm and Betel is a 220 acre farm, both owned by the Acosta family. The farms have their own wet-mills where coffee cherries are carefully harvested, depulped, fermented, washed and the seeds are gently dried. Dried parchment is stored and then transported to San Pedro Sula to be prepared for export through a partnership with CADEXSA, which has a fully staffed cupping lab equipped to cup through every lot and ensure consistent quality.
