Coffee Background

This regional blend from the municipality of Santa Cruz, located in the department of Lempira represents the collaborative efforts of the Hernandez family. Arnol Pineda, Combersion Hernández, Jose Sisto Hernández, and Fermín Hernández each have their own farms and micro-mills to process their harvested cherries separately. But their harmonious dedication to cultivating and processing coffee makes it easy to recognize the parity in quality and profile. This lot landed on a cupping table at Beneficio Santa Rosa, the powerhouse of western Honduras exporters, boasting one of the most state-of-the-art dry mill operations in all of Central America and a fully staffed cupping lab equipped to cup through thousands of samples and identify the potential for every coffee that is received. We are pleased that this lot stood out for them and made its way to our cupping table.
