Ethiopia Yirgacheffe 1 Gelena Abaya Bochesi GrainPro is sourced from family owned farms organized around the Bochesi washing station, one of two washing stations owned and managed by Hirut Berhanu Semu and the only washing station in the Abaya woreda located within the Oromia growing region of Ethiopia. During the harvest, 550 small coffee producers deliver their ripe cherries to the Bochesi washing station, where the coffee is carefully sorted, depulped, fermented, washed and then placed on raised beds and dried over a period of 12 to 15 days. The raised drying beds are carefully constructed to ensure proper air circulation and temperature control for an optimal drying process.
