Honduras Juan Angel Galdamez SHG EP Grainpro is sourced from Juan Angel Galdamez and his four-member family. Juan Angel produced this coffee on his 61-acre farm located in the municipality of Sensenti within the department of Ocotepeque, Honduras. Juan Angel has been farming for 15 years and uses his own mill to processes harvested cherries, which allows for meticulous care in depulping, fermenting, and drying the coffee. In addition to producing coffee, Juan Angel cultivates trees to harvest the wood. Juan Angel collaborates with an export company called BICAFE, which operates a warehouse and dry-mill in Santa Rosa de Copan. Weather conditions in Santa Rosa are ideal for storing parchment and the dry-mill is specifically designed for sorting high quality micro-lots. The partnership has helped to improve quality, increase earnings from coffee sales, and strengthen the family’s livelihood.
