Dear Royal Coffee Customer,

As the holidays approach, we want to help prepare you with information on LTL freight and outbound shipments. During the holiday season, carriers always expect higher than normal volume, but driver and dock staffing shortages have never been so severe as they are this year. Outbound Shipping has seen extreme delays recently, and we anticipate the holidays will only exacerbate these issues. We suggest planning ahead as far as possible.

  • For orders before the Christmas Holiday, order before 12/15.
  • All driver pickups and will call pickups at our warehouse will cut off at 11am on 12/23 and 12/30.
  • Please note that on 12/23 and 12/30 order cut-off time is 11:30 am. Orders will be shipped on the 28th and January 4th respectively.
  • Please note that Royal Coffee will be closed early, at 12 pm on 12/23 and 12/30.
  • Outbound recommends shipping only to next-day points during the holiday week of 12/27 – 12/30 orders moved during carrier holidays will fall into holiday delay and will be deprioritized by the carrier.
  • Please note that only Seaforth and the Annex will be open 12/23 – orders put in on 12/23 will require an extra day of prep. Check the warehouse and trucking Holiday schedules here if you’re in doubt about when an order will be ready at an outside warehouse

If you are expecting more business than usual, we would urge you to plan your holiday orders as soon as possible. As we approach the holidays, expect rates to be higher and delays to be longer. The sooner we ship your order, the better.
