Dear Royal Coffee Customer,

As the holidays approach, we want to help prepare you with information on LTL freight and outbound shipments. During the holiday season, carriers always expect higher than normal volume, but driver and dock staffing shortages have never been so severe as they are this year. Outbound Shipping has seen extreme delays recently, and we anticipate the holidays will only exacerbate these issues. We suggest planning ahead as far as possible.

December Royal Coffee Oakland Warehouse Schedule:

Royal Coffee’s Oakland warehouse will close on 12/28 & 12/29 for inventory counts, so we have adjusted our schedule to ensure smooth and accurate counting, while also doing our best to accommodate last-minute orders during the holidays. Combining our warehouse closure with the fact that many carriers are short-staffed during the holidays, we highly encourage you to ship coffee during the first two weeks of December.

Note the following schedule that pertains to shipments from Royal’s Oakland warehouse:

    • Monday 12/25: Office & Warehouses are closed
    • Tuesday 12/26: The sales team will stop releasing coffee to ship/for will call at 1:30 pm pst, and we will not accommodate any changes to Oakland orders. Orders placed this day will ship on Thursday 12/28 from Royal’s Oakland warehouse.
    • Wednesday 12/27: The sales team will not be releasing coffee to ship/for will call for Oakland orders.
    • Thursday 12/28 & Friday 12/29: Royal Coffee’s warehouse is closed for inventory counts. Any Oakland orders placed on these days will ship on Wednesday 1/3.
    • Monday 1/1: Closed
    • Tuesday 1/2: Back to normal schedule. Oakland orders will ship on Thursday 1/4.

 

For outside warehouses and LTL Carriers, schedules vary.

If you are expecting more business than usual, we would urge you to plan your holiday orders as soon as possible. As we approach the holidays, expect rates to be higher and delays to be longer. The sooner we ship your order, the better.
