HONDURAS FTO COCASJOL SHG EP is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Cooperativa Agropecuaria Cafetalera san José Ltda. (COCASJOL), an association 206 members within the municipality San José de Colinas in the department of Santa Barbara, Honduras. COCASJOL works with producers who use organic practices to manage their land, which acts an important protective buffer for the Cerro de Cantiles watershed. In addition to training on best organic practices, COCASJOL also maintains its own cupping lab to manage quality control, which has helped improve quality, increase earnings from coffee sales, and strengthen producer livelihoods.
