Coffee Background

Sumatra Lintong Sigumpar Rajabatak GrainPro is sourced from family-owned farms organized around an export company called CV. Yudi Putra, located in the Lintong district within the province of North Sumatra on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. Yudi Putra is a family-owned export company that operates its own mill and collaborates with farmers to access the international coffee markets. Yudi Putra is sourcing this lot from an association of 218 producers who belong to the Hutasoit tribe and cultivating coffee near the Sigumpar village, which maintains a traditional village lifestyle. The coffee's hallmark Indonesian flavor is the product of wet-hulling, a uniquely Indonesian processing method in which the coffee parchment is removed before the final drying is completed.
