PERU ORGANIC SELVA ANDINA is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Cooperativa Agraria de Servicios Múltiples Selva Andina (Selva Andina), which operates in communities within Jaen in the department of Cajamarca, Peru.  This lot comes from 250 producers who live in the Community of Miraflores. Selva Andina was founded in 2002 and it is curently providing technical support to producers to improve their agroecology pracctices. Selva Andina’s current membership is 412 men and women. On average, producers cultivate coffee on 4 acres of land using their own micro-mills to depulp and dry coffee. In addition to coffee production, members of Selva Andina harvest and sell cacao.
