Coffee Background

Sumatra Mandheling Grade 1 is sourced from 3000 coffee producers located near the shores of Lake Toba (formed from a supervolcano) in the province of North Sumatra on the island of Sumatra, Indonesia. On average, producers cultivate coffee on 2.5 acres of land using their own micro-mills to depulp and dry coffee. Yudi Putra is a family-owned export company that collaborates with farmers to access the international coffee markets, ensuring greater earnings from direct trade relationships.
