Coffee Background

This coffee is produced by Kebede Wako and processed as a separate micro-lot at the Worka Cooperative where Kebede is a member. The Worka cooperative is located in the southern district of Gedeb, Ethiopia. The cooperative was established in 2005 and Kebede’s farm has been utilized as a model to help everyone in the cooperative improve their harvesting methods.  Kebede started cultivating coffee in the late 1980s when he inherited land from his father. Through coffee Kebede has supported his large family, which includes 15 children.
