Coffee Background

Coffee growing in your backyard is an unlikely scene in North America unless you happen to be in Hawaii where the celebrated Kona coffee is cultivated, harvested, and processed for the short journey to the mainland. This particular lot comes from a cooperative of 32 coffee producers in the Kona district. After processing at each individual farm, dried parchment is received and milled for export at Aloha Farms, which also helps prepare other products produced on the coffee farms, like honey, macadamia nuts and even volcanic sea salts.
