Red Sea Blend is a curated mix of Ethiopian and Yemen dry-processed coffees, two countries which sit opposite each other on the Red Sea. We first started selling this coffee back in the 1980’s at our retail store on College Avenue in Oakland, CA. Back then, the trend in roasting was towards a much darker profile than what most people are doing today. This coffee, for those who still push into second-crack, develops a marked roasted fruit profile and maintains the inherent characteristics of the component coffees, owing to the very high altitudes they are grown at. For those who prefer lighter roasts, this coffee will show excellent bright, ripe red fruits and berries. If you are interested in buying the Red Sea, remember that we pack it in special 100lb bags.
