PERU FTO LLAUCANO JOSE REQUELME SHB EP GRAINPRO is produced by José Adreano Requelme and processed as a micro-lot by Asociacion de Productores Ecologicos de la Cuenca del Rio Llaucano, an organization established in July of 2008. José Adreano and his family own and manage a 13-acre farm located in the community of Chuspa Chamana in the district of Tacabamba within the chota province in the cajamarca región, Peru. José Adreano has been cultivating coffee for eight years and has been selling coffee in the specialty coffee market for the last five years. José Adreano and other members of Rio Llaucano were seriously impacted by coffee rust (roya) and currently receive regular trainings on farm mananagement to protect against future outbreaks. José Adreano is currently focused on renovating his farm and hopes to achieve higher productivity from his farm. Through Rio Llaucano, José Adreano also supports a local elementary school in Chuspa Chamana. In addition to coffee, José Adreano and his family cultivate avocadoes, plantains, and fruit and citrus trees
