Coffee Background

Ethiopia Sidama 1 Chichu Lot 1 30KG GrainPro is sourced from family owned farms organized around the Chuchu washing station. Solomon Getu purchased the washing station in 2011 to support producers in the Kebele district within the Oromia growing region of Ethiopia. 600 coffee producers deliver their ripe cherries to Chuchu (the spring water), where the coffee is carefully sorted, depulped, fermented, washed, and then placed on raised beds and dried over a period of 12 to 15 days. The raised drying beds are carefully constructed to ensure proper air circulation and temperature control for an optimal drying process.
