Coffee Background
Uganda Organic OKORO coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the OKORO cooperative located near the town of Paidha in the Zombo district, Uganda. This coffee growing region begins west of Lake Albert’s northern tip, one of the African Great Lakes and the source of the Albert Nile. Members of the OKORO cooperative are environmental stewards in the region. Their organic production of coffee also financially assists farmers and supports a better quality coffee. Many of the OKORO members are now able to invest in healthcare, education, diversified crops, new farm equipment, additional farm help, and more land.
