This 1-hour class will help you learn the basics of steaming and pouring milk for lattes, cappuccinos, and other milk drinks. Intended for beginners and enthusiasts, the class is brief and will include a short instructional session prior to a good amount of hands-on practice. The class size is limited to just 6 students, so you’ll have easy access to answers for your questions and individual help with technique.f
This class occurs regularly on the 2nd Thursday of the month. If you’ve got the basics down and are just looking for some practice time, we also host a monthly “Fee Fi Foam Fun: Latte Art Practice Run” open session on 3rd Thursdays.
About the Instructor:
Sandra Elisa Loofbourow, Tasting Room Director, The Crown
Sandra is the Tasting Room Director for Royal Coffee’s The Crown. Her experience working as a Spanish/English Interpreter, working in kitchens, and teaching Argentine Tango all influence and inform her approach to coffee. Sandra has been a barista, roaster, and green buyer for several companies in the Bay Area, and is now a certified Q Assistant Instructor. At the Crown: Royal Coffee Lab and Tasting Room she curates the menu, does brew experimentation and coffee analysis, and serves fascinating coffees and delicious education to consumers and professionals alike.
