Context, Perception & Distraction: Mindboggling Coffee Tasting Exercises

November 3, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Event Navigation

Royal Coffee is proud to present the Crown on the Road, a series of free events anticipating the opening of The Crown: Royal Coffee Lab & Tasting Room.

Join Royal Coffee & Counter Culture Coffee for a free afternoon of mindboggling cupping exercises.

In a series of 3 tasting sessions, attendees will learn to understand the ways sensory perception can be affected (and distracted) by competing sensory stimuli. We’ll discuss concentration methods and examine the effects of color, interfering tastes, and the order in which coffees are evaluated in a format designed to be both fun, mildly competitive, and engaging for an array skill levels.
