This coffee is sourced from a family-owned estate El Cedral located near Santa Maria in the Dota region of Tarrazu within the province of San José, Costa Rica. Arturo Bonilla Chacón owns and manages the family farm where the endanger frogs living there inspire him to protect the environment. El Cedral has a micro-mill where cherry selection, depulping, and drying are meticulously executed. This honey processed coffee is an example of precisely executed methods of drying coffee while the mucilage remains attached to the bean.
