Background Details

This coffee is sourced from Finca El Aguila, located in the municipality of Caicedo within the department of Antioquia, Colombia. Hector Vargas, his wife, and their two children, own and manage the farm. Finca El Aguila is a 5 acre farm cultivated with coffee along with the family's home, a vegetable garden, chickens, and a pig. The Vargas family uses their own micro wet-mill at El Aguila to process their own coffee, which allows them to meticulously select the cherry, depulp, ferment, and dry the coffee parchment before sending the coffee for export.
