Background Details

This coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Asociación de Palmor y La Secreta, which has 136 members from Ciénaga, San Pablo, Minca and Palmor, communities located in the department of Magdalena, Colombia. Banana and avocado trees grow along with the coffee, producing shade and another source of income beyond coffee, which is the main source of income for this group of farmers. The Asociación de Palmor y La Secreta, in collaboration with an exporting company called Inconexus, is dedicated to producing quality coffee because the increased income from the sale of coffee directly impacts the quality of daily life for their families.
