35447 – Guatemala RFA Huehuetenango Finca Injertal is sourced from a family-owned estate located in the municipality of La Democracia within the department of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. Finca Injertal is owned and operated by Jose Alejandro Solis, a third generation coffee producer, who continues the traditions passed down from his grandfather, Jose Olivio Chavez, who established the estate in the 1940’s. Coffee is grown on 173 acres under the protection of Chalun shade trees, while 32 acres are a preserved forest of diverse native trees that provide refuge for wildlife. The estate also has an abundance of spring water sources which provide year-round hydroelectric power for the mill operations and pristine water for processing coffee.
